James Fitzpatrick and his wife Mary Hurley (or Maria Commane) of Ballyglass, had at least 10 children - Patrick 1820, Michael 1822, Bridget 1824, Mary 1827, Catherine 1828, James 1830, George 1834, Ann 1834, Ellen 1836, John 1838. He and some of the children emigrated to Australia in 1849.

Also found in Ballyglass was Matthew Fitzpatrick and his wife Catherine Hassett who had Margaret in 1841 and John in 1843. A Franciscan Friar who was compiling a history of Doora said there was only 1 Fitzpatrick family in the parish.

Would love any information on Matthew and his family. I have quite a large file on the rest of the family.
