Hello Pat

I was in Claire in 1990 and found a Franciscan Friar who was writing a history of the Parish of Doora. Have you managed to track that down? He told me there was only 1 Fitzpatrick family who lived in the parish at around that time. In 1823 James paid a tithe of 1 pound 11 shillings. He farmed 15 acres.

I checked the parish registers when I was in Dublin and found records with Moylans and I think McNamaras as witnesses to Fitzpatrick events. If you want to contact me direct I'll try to dig out some of that info for you.
