I may have responded to another of your posts. Since I respond to almost all, I can't recall exactly. However, you don't need "access" to use the Irish Family History Foundation. Only when you need to get real specific does it nip you, and then just a little. I searched this database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of all Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse. Many events were never rcd'd, others that were did not survive. Only abt 1/2 of Cork's rcds have been digitized. For Margaret Morgan, I found 425 birth rcds for this name (+variants) in all Ireland for 1700-1920. Of these, 37 were born in 1838 +/- 4 yrs. Of these, 1 was born in Cork: date 1835, Castletownroche parish. For siblings, I chose a range of 1835 +/- 4 yrs and looked in the same parish. The possible names are: Patrick 1831, Elizabeth 1837, Mary 1838, and Johanna 1839. For a David and Ellen marriage, I can't find M rcds for both which occur in the same yr and same county in all Ireland within a relevant range of yrs. However, if you view the detailed rcd for Margaret and it shows a father's name of "David," then the rcds validate each other. If so, the added benefit would be you would know the mother's name as well. Notify Administrator about this message?
