Ralph ,

Thanks so much . I got the marriage record and it is likely the right one . Priest's name is not listed in full .
I am going to write to Father Madden PP at Castlelyons to confirm . Wife Catherine on her Civil War pension application stated that Priest was Father Hayes .
Family came to USA during famine years . Both Michael and son James served in Civil War . James settled in Hyde Park area of Boston . Doing search for James' great grandsons.
Do you do a lot of Cork research ?
My Mahony grandmother came from Ballydehob . I have been trying to find her older brother Daniel who married Margaret Sheehan, about 1880 and raised a large family.
2 children and my grandmother Nellie b 1879 came to Scituate , Mass. Rest stayed in Cork , somewhere in Skull area . Parents of Nellie , Daniel , Jeremiah, Kate, Timothy were Timothy and Mary[Nee Mahony] Mahony .
Looks like Timothy died 1902 under unusual conditions after arriving home from Goleen one evening , a wee bit tipsy . There was a coronors inquest . Been in Ballydehob several times , but unable to find any Mahony relatives . Did find the headstone in the Old cemetery on the Bay in Skull for Wrestler Danno Mahony " Irish Whip " .
Your keen eye and help is appreciated .
