Thank you for the help. I probably made an error, Mary Mullin was born abt, 1828 and left for NZ in the early 1870's. The only record of her I have is her burial record from NZ. According to this she died in 1912 at the age of 84, was a native of Ireland and had been in NZ for 38 years. Her daughter Jane died in 1921 in NZ at the age of 58 and had been in NZ for abt 48 years. Another daughter, Agnes, was born in Cork abt. 1870. George Mullin, whom we belirve to have been a son was born in Ireland abt. 1850. He died in NZ 1n 1919 at the age of 69. I have been unable to find out whether Mullin was her married name. One of the problems we have is that Jane, according to the information we have, gave her country of origin as GB, Sandgate or Margate in Kent. So we are unsure if she was born there or they all left for NZ from GB. I am presently checking all shipping and passenger lists I can find. I have sent for Mary Mullin's actual death certificate but it apparently will be at least 8 weeks.
Regards Barbara Nees
