The forename George is relatively rare in Ireland. Using this forename, the surname Mullin, and a B range of 1850 +/- 4 yrs, I found 6 matches. None of them were in Cork.

Rcds by 1850 were still not quite comprehensive. So there is a chance the event was not rcd'd. There is a larger chance that rcds for all your ancestry lie in the 40% of the rcds which haven't been digitized. You may want to wait until the database is more complete. This may be a long wait as several counties, or parts thereof, haven't created organizations to digitize the rcds.

In the meantime, try finding obits, tombstones, or family bibles that can help pin down the names, dates, and places.
