I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties and parts thereof. For Co. Cork, only abt 1/2 of the surviving rcds have been digitized. Rcds after 1840 are reasonably complete.
For John Manning B 1851 (exact), I found 0 rcds in Cork. For David Manning M 1846 +/- 4 yrs, I found 0 rcds. For Mary McSweeny (+variants), I found 18 rcds. These are likely false positives because there is no corresponding M rcd for David.
For a William Devlin M 1870 +/- 4 yrs, I found 10 rcds, all in Ulster counties. For a Mary McSweeny (+variants) M in the same range, I found 97 rcds. Only 10 were in Ulster counties. Will leave it to you to see if there is a match for County, year, and parish.
My best guess is the birth and marriage rcds for this family are buried in the mass of undigitized rcds for Co. Cork. While waiting for this to be resolved, consider searching for B and M dates for John's siblings. These can help pin down a specific parish.
