I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. This includes abt 1/2 of Cork and 1/2 of Tipperary rcds. For Co. Cork (north): There is 1 B rcd for Patrick Lyons B 1860 (exact). This is in Banteer parish. There is no B rcd for a Nora O'Neil. There is a B rcd for Thomas Lyons in 1872 in Banteer parish. There is a B rcd for Michael Lyons B 1883 in Donoughmore parish. This Patrick is LIKELY (but not certainly) your ancestor. A view of the detailed rcd SHOULD reveal the names of his parents and/or other info. For Co. Tipperary (north): There are no 1860 B rcds for Nora O'Neil or Patrick Lyons. There are no B rcds for the brothers. For Co. Tipperary (south): There is 1 B rcd for Patrick Lyons B 1860 (exact) in Newcastle & Fourmilewater parish. There is no B rcd for Nora O'Neil. There is a B rcd for Maurice O'Neil in 1874 in Cahir civil parish. There is no B rcd for a Jeremiah O'Neil. For rest of Ireland: There are no B rcds for a Nora O'Neil. There are three explanations for the absence of rcds for Nora: 1 the event was never rcd'd, 2 the rcd didn't survive, 3 the data remains in the mass of undigitized rcds for Co. Cork and Tipperary. In Tipperary, the RC church decided NOT to allow the IFHF to digitize many of its rcds. Rcds for the following parishes can be accessed only thru the Tipperary Family History Research center: Borrisoleigh-Ileigh, Drom-Inch, Holycross-Ballycahill, Loughmore-Castleiney, Moycarkey-Two-Mile-Borris, Moye-Templetuohy Templemore-Clonmore, Thurles, and Upperchurch-Drombane. I hope this helps. Notify Administrator about this message?
