Hello, I am wondering if your Michael Adams is related to Margaret Adams who was born in County Cork, Ireland about 1777? I am researching information for a friend and we have a Margaret Adams, of Ireland who immigrated to Baltimore, MD from Cork. Her father or mother left property to her in Co Cork, Ire in a will. I don't have the will reference but they also left property to grandson James Adams, son of Michael, and daughter Eleanor; the exec. was Elizabeth Hamilton. Margaret Adams married Job Choate, in Maryland 18 Sept 1808. (It was his 2nd marriage) Together they had a son, David Choate. According to the FamilySearch IGI database it shows a Margaret Choate as the daughter of Michael Adams of Ballyhay, Cork, Ireland, which information comes from the Baptism, marriages and burials & churching of women 1726-1902 of Ballyhay and Charleville, in the diocese of Tuam. Margaret Choate was widowed 1813 and remarried William McKey May 15, 1824 both of Baltimore residency. source: Baltimore Marriages Index. She died in 1840 St Lawrence Co. NY. Her tombstones gives 1777 - Ireland as her date of birth and nativity. Is it possible that this Margaret is related to your Michael Adams? possibly a sister? County Cork probate index records show there is a Michael Adams of Charlville, County Cork, Esquire who died in 1802. If you have a connection I would welcome any additional information. Thanks
