I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. Only the northern and eastern portions of Co. Cork are in it. All rcds B4 1840 are sparse.

There are abt 27,600 B and 11,600 M rcds for Lynchs in all Ireland between 1700 and 1921. For Margaret Lynch B 1841 (exact) in Co. Cork (north), I found 6 B rcds: 3 in Ballyvourney parish, 1 in Coachford, 1 in Cobh, and 1 in Killeagh. One of these MAY be your ancestor. Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds have been digitized. The remainder await the creation of an organization to perform this task.

If you are in a hurry, suggest you visit an LDS Family History Centre. The LDS microfilmed nearly all Irish parish registers years ago. Searching these is tedious.

Meanwhile, google the Foundation's name to lead you to the IFHF database. Register, opt to be notified when rcds are added, and browse. Also try to find the parish or place of origin for your ancestor.
