I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's rcds for Tipperary (south).

For Michael Lyons B 1873 (exact), I found 0 rcds.

For Thomas Lyons B 1872-1876, I found 6 B rcds: 2-1872, 3-1875, and 1-1876. Four are civil registration. One of these MAY be your Thomas.

B/M/D registration was civil after 1864 and comprehensive. Since you KNOW they were born in Tipperary, and KNOW their parents' names, you should contact the General Register Office at http://groireland.ie, complete its forms and request copies of these ancestor's B rcds.

For a John and Margaret marriage in Tipperary, I first found matching M rcds only in 1866. However, when I screened at the parish level, the marriages occurred in different parishes. Therefore, this isn't a match. It may be that they were married elsewhere. Again, this marriage should have been rcd'd by civil registration. Your best chance of success is through the GRO. While the IFHF states it has transcribed ALL GRO rcds, I don't believe this to be 100% true.

Pls post a reply to this msg to tell me your search results.
