Searching for relatives of Mary Gallagher who married Neil Doherty on February 9, 1893 in Fintown, Donegal, Ireland. Their family was enumerated in the 1901 Census of Scotland. Through 1903 in Scotland they had five children: Mary, twins James and Annie, Neil, and Denis. James died shortly before his second birthday. Family lore has them returning to Ireland probably somewhere in the area of Fintown, Donegal where they married in 1983. They had at least one more child while in Ireland. Her name was Bridget. She married and died some time in the 1960s. Annie immigrated to the United States settling in the Philadelphia, PA area. At some point her name changed from Annie Doherty to Anne Dougherty. She died on January 27, 1983. It suspected the Neil immigrated to San Francisco, CA. Her brother Denis died on March 25, 1984 in the Gorton, Manchester area of England. His son Patrick Joseph Doherty of Luton, England signed the death certificate. All attempts to find a Doherty relative have been unsuccessful.
