Hello,

I am looking for any information on the Walker family in or around Malin in the early 1700's. I have a Rev. David Walker who wrote a letter of introduction for an Alexander Walker when Alexander immigrated to America.
"That the bearer Alexander Walker having resolved to transport himself and his family to America not for any ( illegible) committed by him, but with a view to better his fortune both as to his religious and civil capacity, we hereby certify he has lived with us from his infancy, behaving himself in a Christian sober manner, and has enjoyed such priveleges as Christians claim and is now free from scandal known to us. We therefore recommend him as a ( ) to ( ) a member of the Church of Christ. Signed: David Walker, Given at Maline July 8, 1739."

Any Walker information for that period would be appreciated.

Regards,
W.R. Walker
