I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It has 11,500,000 rcds and covers abt 60% of all Ireland. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse.

For Thomas Chancellor (+variants) the earliest B rcd I found was in 1871. The earliest Samuel B is also in 1871. I get 0 matches for marriages as well.

You can browse the database periodically. More county rcds will be added throughout the yr.
