Hi Ralph: Thank you for your research. I am on the road for work at the moment and do not have access to my records but I can say that the birthdates of both Felix and Sarah while probably not exact have several census and death record certificates to support them. While it is possible that Felix and Sarah travelled from Antrim; several of their children identified themselves as being born in Co.Down (besides John;b.1835). I believe the approximate 1845 date of immigration to the Dearham area was deccided upon as the family shows up in a census in 1851 and the older children were identified as being born in Co. Down. As far as the marriage in England, possible I guess, but they would have had a slew of children prior to that marriage if they didn't arrive until 1845 or so. Several of the census substitues have placed Keenan's and McQuoid's in the towns of Greyabbey, Kircubbin (and surrounding area) and Newtownards. Unfortunately, none of them are Felix or Sarah ...so far. I am hoping that some kind soul from the Ards Penninsula will touch base with those Keenan or McQuoid family members still living in the area who may be able to unearth that kernal of information I need to establish a town of origins definitely. Thank you again. Best regards from Western NY Chuck Keenan Notify Administrator about this message?
