I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse.

For James Murdoch B 1842 +/- 4 yrs, I found 0 B rcds.

For Henry Murdoch, I found 2 B rcds which possibly be for his birth: 1800 & 1824, both in Antrim.

Suggest you google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.
