Ards Peninsula Families DNA Project

For those researchers who have had, or think that they might have had, ancestors who lived on the Ards Peninsula area of eastern County Down in Northern Ireland, we have a wonderful geographic DNA project: The Ards Peninsula families Y-DNA Project:
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/ardsdnaproject/
Please take some time to look at the Ards Project description, goals, and the list of eligible surnames. Also, on our News page, you will find a link to our sister site.
If you have already been Y-DNA tested at FTDNA, there will be no additional expense involved in joining the Ards Project. You are allowed to join your DNA results to both a surname project, and a geographic project at FTDNA.
If you have not been Y-DNA tested at FTDNA, you can both join the Ards Project, and purchase a Y-DNA test kit, through the link on the upper left-hand side of our our Ards Project Home Page. By joining through our Ards Project, you will automatically be given our Ards Project group discounted price on a Y-DNA test kit at FTDNA.
I do not sell DNA test kits, nor do I make any money from the sale of DNA test kits. I am not an employee of FTDNA, or anyone else. I am strictly a volunteer for the Ards Peninsula Families Y-DNA Project.
Thank you.
