I am looking for any information regarding the Turley family. One of my ancestors is named John Turley, born 1848/49 in Newry. His parents were Michael Turley (born c. 1808) and Catherine Murphy.
I came across a passenger list for a niece or cousin of John Turley who came to the Boston area in 1925. Her name is Mary Teresa Turley, born 1902 in Newry. She lists her father as James Turley of Ardaragh P.O., Carnacally, Newry. I know that John had a brother named James; however, due to the dates, I am unsure if this is his brother or his nephew.
My father knew Mary Teresa, known as Teresa Turley, and he is sure she was a cousin.
