Hello! I am looking for any descendants or information on any Cargo's in the County Down & County Antrim area between 1700 and current day. My James Cargo, born 1796 in Ireland or Scotland (?). Married in Belfast in 1819 to Mary Clancy (or Claney) who was born in 1800. James and Mary sailed to America with 2 children (a 3rd was born on the voyage). James was a Presbyterian and a Whig. James was a merchant tailor at Sixth Avenue & Liberty St in Pittsburgh, PA. He lived only one month after the store was closed in the Panic of 1846. Mary Cargo died Pittsburgh, in 1885. James Cargo's brothers were Hugh, Robert, Samuel Cargo who all came to US. Other Cargo's went to New Zealand and Australia. May have been other siblings and parents, aunts, uncles, etc. still in Ireland? Would appreciate hearing from anyone with information. Thank you!
