Christopher, I appreciate your response. My great grandfather was an Episcopalian, at least according to his obituary, so that probably would mean his parents were Church of Ireland. I'd suggest you might have a better chance of a reply by posting a message on www.enniskillen.com and also on a website called www.rootschat.com where you'll stand a slightly better chance of finding someone living in the area. I did not know about these websites but will definitely check them out. Thank you! I will be visiting in both Dublin and Belfast at their national libraries so hopefully I will locate something at one of them. I have since found out that another ancestor (Gregg) on my maternal side was born in Ireland, Co. Antrim, but he was Quaker which normally means great records; now if they just go back far enough, I will have hit the jackpot with him! I'm starting to count down the days until we leave as this is going to be a very exciting trip, including genealogy research and sightseeing.
