Hi Jan,
Dont know if this is of interest to you,but I have Sam Greer mar to Mary Howitt in Glasgow in the 1800's I have the dates and the families and can be more specific if it is of interest.He was suppossedly a clock maker or had a shop along those lines.His wife was still alive in 1871 but he was dead.There are tie ups to Ireland. Don.
