Thank you Ralph for your suggestion. I have joined the Irish History Foundation, checked to see if they have Thomas Anderson (even though I believed you!) and paid to view several names.Neither is my ancestor, unfortunately. Is there any way a person can look at further info before paying to view? Because you can only put in the person's name, father's name and a rough date, if it a common name, you could spend a fortune with no result. I feel sure that I could probably be lucky with the site, but I am a senior who cannot pay big amounts for potentially no return. Thanks anyway. Maxene
