I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. I got two hits for James Hogan B 1875 +/- 4 yrs in Thurles parish. 1 in 1871, the other in 1874. B registration was civil and comprehensive by this year. One of these is likely your ancestor. For a James Hogan marriage, using 1900 +/- 2 yrs, I get 7 hits: 4 in 1898, 3 in 1902. Only 1 of the 1898 marriages was in Thurles. Note - marriages were usually done in the bride's parish. This parish MAY, or MAY NOT, have been Thurles. For the name of James' 1st wife, the birth rcd of a child should show both the parents names. For Mary B 1902, Thurles, I get 1 hit. For Ellen B 1906, Thurles, I get 0 hits. For Kathleen B 1808, Thurles, I get 0 hits. Because I get 0 hits on the latter 2 children, this may indicate they moved to a different parish. For a Mary Faulkner marriage in Mitchelstown, Cork, I can't search the IFHF database because rcds for this area haven't been digitized yet. As I mentioned, registration was civil by this time. The rcds are maintained by the Govt. of Ireland's General Register Office. You can reach it at groireland.ie. This agency will have rcds on all these individuals. Work on James Hogan and Mary 1st. These rcds should give you info to help search for the others. Best of luck in your search. Make a post to let me know how it turns out. Notify Administrator about this message?
