I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. There is a problem with this database for Cork; abt 1/2 of the rcds for Cork and not online yet. Also, in general, rcds B4 1840 are iffy. Many events were never rcd'd, others have been lost in time.

I used the name Margaret Morgan, B 1838 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Cork. I got 1 hit in 1835 in Castletownroche Parish. The detailed rcd SHOULD list the names of the child's parents. This rcd MAY, or MAY NOT, be for your ancestor. Your chances are less than 50%.
