Thank you for this very positive help.

I will send for the certificates you mention. Would applying to groireland be better than applying direct to Nenagh register office? That is what I did for the birth certificate of Bridget and I found them most helpful.

I have got the Mitchelstown marriage certificate through a researcher, so am not looking for that record.

How are you able to pinpoint Thurles in your searches? I have also searched these databases and only get north Tipperary, south Tipperary etc which I have to select first.

I also get 2 hits for Ellen in 1906, 2 for 1905 and 1 for 1907. And I get 2 hits for Kathleen in 1908, 1 1909 and 1 1910.

But as I say, there is no indication of the parish.

My inclination is to write to Nenagh, unless you can tell me why it would be better not to.

I will certainly get back to you with any progress.
