In early 19th cent. Ireland, there were mini famines in the months of July and August nearly every year before the new crop was ready for harvest. The Famine years ran from 1845 thru 1851 when the entire potato crop was destroyed. Margaret was lucky to have escaped this. However, if she was 6 when she went to CAN then there is an inconsistency. The age is wrong, the reason is wrong, or both. I used the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It has abt 11,000,000 rcds and is roughly 60% complete. Rcds B4 1840 are iffy. Many BMD events were never rcd'd; others have been lost over time. There are three Dublins: Dublin north, Dublin south, and the City of Dublin. The first two are in the IFHF's database, the city isn't. For Margaret Healy (exact) B 1823 (exact) in Dublin (north), I get 0 hits. The same result occurs for Dublin (south). There are 33 Margaret Healys B 1823 +/- 4 yrs in the rest of Ireland. I am not sure how good your info is, but consider the possibility that she came from somewhere else and that Dublin was her port of embarkation. I can neither search the City of Dublin's rcds, nor do I known of a single central repository. If your family is Catholic, COI, or Presby, find the appropriate ecclesiatical body having authority over the City of Dublin and e-mail them. One should have these rcds. Whether they will respond to you is another question. It would also help to get the brother's name and date of birth. The 1851 census would be a good place to start.
