Who would know something about the Spain family in Dunkerrin, County Offaly (formerly King's County)?
My ancestor was Maria Spain. She was born approximately by 1835 in Dunkerrin, County Offaly, Ireland. Her father was John Spain, mother's name unknown.
Maria Spain migrated in 1855 abroad the ship "Glentanner" from Plymouth to Port Adelaide, SA, Australia.
She married in 1861 John Mullen in Mount Barker, SA, Australia. They had eight children. One of their children's sponsor at a baptism was William Spain. William Spain might be a brother or a cousin to Maria Spain.
There was another Spain family from King's County (Offaly) living in South Australia according to the book "South Australians 1836 -1885" (Patrick Spain with his family).
I did a free assessment with the Irish Midlands Ancestry. According to them they have located a possibly baptismal record for my ancestor Maria Spain in the Dunkerrin parish records, together with possibly five siblings.
Would anyone know the correct address for the Dunkerrin parish?
