corcorans from tipperary -Edward born 1831

My Gt Gt Grandfather Edward Corcoran (shoemaker) appears on the 1881 England census along with his wife Mary, sons John age 21, Richard 18, Edward 16 and Thomas 13. There was also a daughter Mary who got married in 1880 so does not appear on the census. They were living in Liverpool in Banastre Street. Edward senior's age is shown as 50 but appears on the 1891 census as 54??? so he was either born in 1831 or 1837. Details on census show they were all born in Ireland in Tipperary. I don't know any more than that. Could anyone help by letting me know the best places to search in Ireland for birth and marriage details. I would appreciate any information at all. Many thanks! Joan White
