John Murphy [or Morphy] (c1770-c1820) [son of Andrew Murphy (c1745-c1796) and Deborah Whistler (c1750-?)] of Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland, married Elizabeth Biggs (c1776-c1850). John died in Barbados and Elizabth died in Blanshard Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada. John and Elizabeth had two daughters: 1) Margaret Murphy (c1798-c1860), who married William Slack (1794-1846) [son of Henry Slack (c1761-1824)] of Ringroe, Derrynasling (Ardcroney near Borrisokane), County Tipperary, Ireland; they settled in Blanshard County, Perth County, c1843; and 2) Elizabeth Biggs Murphy (c1805-1888), who married John Blackwell c1800-1865); they settled in London Township, Middlesex County, Ontario (also lived in Blanshard Township, Perth County, Ontario) and had 21 children; some descedants moved to the USA. Would be glad to share information with researchers of these Blackwell, Murphy (Morphy), Biggs, Slack or Whistler lines.
