James B. West was born abt. 1839 in Clogher, Tyrone Ireland. Moved to Baltimore, South Carolina when a boy, then to Savannah, GA right after the civil war. In his obit mentions an Uncle: Mr. Coulter, I suspect this was his mothers maiden name. Mr. Coulter also immigrated to Baltimore. They were in the steamboat business, and I think they had a lot of money.
I'm looking for a marriage of a West & Coulter in Clogher.
Or any West married in Clogher that could be James B. West's parents.
James B. West married in Savannah GA. and his sons names were James & Thomas West, both born in Savannah.
He was a Presbyterian, but probably because his wife was.
Any help would be surely appreciated---
