Hi Sheila Thanks for your message. The links are more complete than I thought yesterday. Augusta Maud Barber (born around 1819) married Alexander Stoker Gardiner (date not known) and had six children altogether, five of whom were born in Ireland. Their youngest son Theodore is my great great grandfather. As I mentioned, the eldest son Frederick, who was born around 1833, (again precise date not yet confirmed) married Marianne Frances Berry, who is listed as a minor at the date of the wedding in 1861. Sarah Frances Berry was either visiting or living longer term with them in Woking in the 1881 England census - where she is listed as a "relict" of a physician (i.e. Godfrey!) So although that doesn't help you much with fixing Godfrey's death with any accuracy, he was definitely deceased by 1881! The extra piece of information I had not connected, is that the next eldest son William Alexander Gardiner married Katherine North in 1876. Either they, or he by someone else, had already had a child, who they called Beryl Gardiner, in 1872. So, given that all three families had marriage links from your information, it is interesting to me that Alexander and his two sons all had wives from this "circle"! In terms of hte information you are seeking, I probably can't at the moment help, but with your information, I have now confirmed the Tyrrellpass connection which may help me get better information on births and marriages - and I will certainly feed that back to you. I hope we can keep in touch! I am based in England, but plan to go to Ireland in the Autumn so may discover more then. Chris Notify Administrator about this message?
