Robert Edgeworth (2nd son of Sir John Edgeworth), m. Catherine Tyrrell (only child of Sir Edward Tyrrell of Lynn) and they had eldest son, Edward Edgeworth of Kilshrewly (co. Longford ?) The estate of the lands of Lynn and Rathduffe, co. Westmeath, were forfeited May 1702 and apparently placed in trust in the hands of Robert Adair of Clonbroney, co. Longford, who had lands of Kilshruley, co. Longford. Sir Edward Tyrell may have had the lands prior c. 13 June 1703. There was a case in the Chancery Court in 1711 when the lands may have been handed over by Robert Adair to Robert Edgeworth. Robert Adair's mother was Elinor Cooke of Cookesborough, co. Westmeath, and his father was Charles Adair of Clonbroney, co. Longford. Some of the Adair lands in the area of Clonbroney, co. Longford were eventually sold to the Edgeworth family after about mid-1700s on the death of Forster Adair, son of Robert. Notify Administrator about this message?
