I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. Co. Westmeatch rcds are in it. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse.

Assuming a B date for Patrick Dunn (+variants) of 1841 +/- 4 yrs, I found 18 B rcds in Westmeath. If you have a more precise DOB, you can reduce the number of false positives substantially.

Suggest you google the Foundation's name to lead you to the database. There, you can replicate my search and vary the search parameters.
