Hi, I believe as long as you except the name Israel is your correct name you are not going to be able to get any info on them before entering Robeson Co. If you do not remember when tracing family history there is no exact in spelling you will get no where fast. As I told you Randall Ezell or Ezzell who sighed a petition with George Ezell sometimes spelled Izard in 1770 could write. When he went to Orange Co, N.C his name was spelled everway you could think of even Zard. BUT it was him. I also believe I told you these people fount over land and spelled t here name different was to disconnect from other family members. I was told by the GGrandson of Newit Israel this name was Ezell or Ezzell. This is on Olvia Regan!s fathers will also and that was far enough back to tell t he tale. This info camr down in all Ezell-Ezzell families. They were French Hugenots who went to England and then to U.S, but the Jewish people in France at that time would also claim Hugenot rather then Jewish to get treated better. A first cousin who was in France saw a truck go by with Ezell name on it in the 1980. One of my Ezzell family members from N.C. has a friend in France who found info a Ezell died in a gas chamber by the Natzi during WW2.
