As I stated previously, I did visit Sicily a couple of years ago. However, I did have specific information from my oldest sister about the Sicilian roots of my parents. They both came from the town of Riesi which is pretty much in the south central part of Sicily. I was on a tour there and after the tour we made arrangements to stay over for a few days. We rented a car and drove from Palermo to the town of Riesi. When we entered the town, I was surprised to see a huge banner that hung over the street. I do not know how to read any of the language and have not spoken the language since I was a small child so I have forgotten anything I knew. However; what did catch my attention was the name at the bottom of the banner. It was Giuseppe Baglio and it was an ad for his furniture store. However because of my lack of communicative skills I never did make contact with anyone there. They had all gone to lunch and their lunch periods are two to three hours long so we had to depart. What can I tell you of our bacckground? From the information I have received from my sister, both of my parents came to this country when they were children. Probably on the same boat. My dad'same was Giacomo Baglio and my mother's maiden name was Vitellaro and as I stated they both came from Riesi. We settled in Boston, Massachusetts and I still have two brothers who live there. I now reside in the state of Washington. While in Sicily we did travel to the top of Mount Etna. We were on a tour bus from Catania ot Mt. Etna and while climbing toward the summit the bus took a left turn and I glancd at some directional signs as we swung away from the intersection and I am certain that one of the signs said "BAGLIO" with the arrow pointing to the east or toward the water. By the way, I have a brother named Salvatore Sorry I am late in responding to your message
