Dear Patricia

Sorry for the delay in responding to your last letter. By the time you receive this letter, you probably have helped to celebrate your grandmother's 100th birthdate. So I guess that you have taken the trip to Sicily to help in the festivities. May it be most pleasant and may you have wonderful weather to assist you. When I was there we enjoyed terrific weather. May you also be that fortunate.

I am sorry to hear about your brother's demise. Yes - - both you and your brother are very young and it is a shame to lose some one at such an young age. As for me - well- -
I am just short of eighty years old and I think in fairly good health. May it continue.

May you have a long pleasant and safe trip. From the research I have made, Sicily is a gem and has been conquered by many older civilizations but still managed to maintain its own individuality. Also most of the conquerers liked Sicily enough that they always had a residence along the south coast of the island. There are more ancient ruins in Sicily than there are in Greece.

Regards
