There is 1,262 Platania surnamed persons in Italy and there are about 1,000 in Sicily but there are only 5 in all of Calabria and only 1 person in the province of Catanzaro in the town of Lamezia Terme. Go to www.paginebianche.it and put in Platania in the first line and Lamezia Terme in the third line and click cerca.
