This was because of a health issue that surfaced with 4 of us 6 sisters. At first we thought it was through our father's line, but after his DNA was tested we knew it was through our mother's lineage. We cannot trace our ggg-grandmother's line (Eliza Catherine Steinman born ~1836) from Baden, Germany (married to Joshua Aaron Gipple 1857 in Grandview,IA). But because of our diagnosis, different oncologists have asked if we are Ashkenazi Jews. We are wondering, too! Any help? Notify Administrator about this message?
