Looking further at the census page I hadn't noticed that the box is checked for the comment "married within the previous year. That has Jacob & Hent being married between Sept 1849 to Sept 1850 most likely in NYC. I find (so far) that there are no city/state records for those years. Would there be any church records from that timeframe?
