Michael Anthony Keating of Lake Zurich for 19 years Funeral services for Mr. Michael Anthony Keating, 50, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, where he will lie in state from 9 to 11 a.m. The Rev. Ysrael De La Cruz will officiate. Interment will be in Willow Lawn Memorial Park, Vernon Hills. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Born March 4, 1956, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at home. Michael worked for AT&T for 32 years. His interests were music, playing the guitar and skiing. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn A. Keating (nee Ne Smith) of Lake Zurich; daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Reed of Memphis, Tenn.; father, Michael Charles (Gerry) Keating of Las Vegas; mother, Barbara Jane Starkey of Plano, Ill.; brothers, Patrick Keating of Lake Zurich and Kevin Keating of Palatine; and sisters, Kimberly (Brian) Schubring of Hanover Park and Rebecca Lee Starkey of Aurora. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, which was his childhood church. For information, 847-358-7411.
