Hi Paul,

I am not related to the Dryland family.

I have been doing some research today, however, and this is what I have found:

Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas:

DRYLAND, George S., born 1845, died 1920
DRYLAND, Annie, born 1849, died 1929
DRYLAND, Will W., born 1884, died 1973
GETTER, Artie, born 1871, died 1912, wife of D. T.
GETTER, D. T., born 1851, died 1923
LOUDERBACK, Anna, born 1869, died 1917
---------------------------

On the 1900 census, listed with George and Annie Dryland, is ARTIE GETTER, boarder. This Artie is actually their daughter: Artie Dryland, born 1871 in Michigan.

Artie married David Thomas Getter on 13 April 1890, Reno County, Kansas. (Source: www.FamilySearch.org).

David Thomas Getter was born 15 June 1851 in Pennsylvania, died 14 Oct 1923 in Kansas. (Source: www.FamilySearch.org)

Artie and David are buried in the Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas.
(Source: www.interment.net)

From the census it looks like Artie and David only had one child:

David Thomas Getter, Jr., was born 21 Dec 1908 in Kansas, died 15 Dec 1999; married Genevieve born 9 April 1910, died 15 Mar 1999, Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas.
(Birth and Death Dates---Source: Social Security Death Index)

-------------------------------------

WILLIAM W. DRYLAND, born 11 Feb 1884, Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas, died 19 Feb 1973 in Los Angeles, California; buried Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas.
(Place of death---Source: California Death Index)
***Note: I do not know if he ever married. In 1920, age 36, he was single and living in Hutchinson with his parents.

--------------------------------------

On the 1910 census, living with George and Annie Dryland is their daughter ANNA LOUDERBACK, born April 1869 in England.

Anna Dryland married WILLIAM LOUDERBACK who was born July 1853 in Kentucky. By the time of the 1910 census they were divorced. Anna died in 1917 and is buried in the Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Reno, County, Kansas. From the census, it looks like Anna and William had two children, Edith N. Louderback and Frank Dryland Louderback:

1. EDITH N. LOUDERBACK, born Nov 1888, Kansas. About 1902, Edith married ORSON LLOYD CARRICK who was born 4 Sept 1881 in Ohio. It looks like they had two children, Lewis Ansel Carrick and Mildred N. Carrick:

1a. LEWIS ANSEL CARRICK, born 17 Nov 1912 in Kansas, died 29 Dec 1997, Fresno, California. (California Death Index Lewis had a son who was also named LEWIS ANSEL CARRICK, born 21 Nov 1947 (his mother's maiden name was Montayne according to California Birth Index).

In 2002, there is/was an L. Ansel Carrick living at 414 South Linda Lane, Fresno, California, zip code 93727.

1b. MILDRED N. CARRICK was born about 1910 in Kansas. I have no further information on her.

2. FRANK DRYLAND LOUDERBACK, b. 19 Dec 1892, Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas, died March 1973 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; married Margaret M. Gardnenr, b. Nov 1893 in Missouri, died April 1984 in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri. They are found on the 1920 and 1930 census and did not have children on either of those censuses.

----------

I hope some of this information is helpful.

Good luck with your research!

~Linda
