Pauline: I do show that Adam Laurentz LaGrone b. Feb. 09, 1698 d. 1784 Newberry County married Mary Kincaid. Their first born child way Maria Sophia LaGrone b. 1727 in Schonau Germany d. 1787 in Newberry County and her husband was John Kinnard.
Their were seven children from this union and the third born, Tobias is my line. I know I found the names of the other children on my trip to Newberry. This information was confirmed when I visited Newberry SC in 2006. The city of Newberry really has some great historical files on their settlement and the surrounding area. The LeGrone family along with several other original settlers... Renwick, Riser, Rinehart, Sease, Abrams,etc. are all noted. They also did a lot of intermarrying between them and moved westward together to Alabama, Louisiana and Texas. You might want to visit there because the records and graveyards are awesome.
