I don't have his parents names, but I was wondering if you have the same story I have. The story I have on Adam Laurenz LaGrone was that in order to avoid joining the German Army to fight against France he left Germany in 1727 as a stow-away on a boat of sugar beets. The tradition says that his merchant brother sealed him in a barrel in which he stayed unitl the boat was out to sea. As far as I've been told he was the only LaGrone to come to America.
