Part of the problem is that David is a fairly common Lagrone name.

It is *possible* (based on dates, location, and names) that your Mary Anne Legrone is Mary A. Lagrone, daughter of David Lagrone and Elizabeth Lofton. They all appear in the 1850 Stewart Co., GA Census, 326/532, 31st Dist. p.77.

David, in turn, is a son of Jacob Lagrone, generally believed to be a son of Tobias Lagrone who emmigrated with his father Laurenz to South Carolina from Schoenau, Germany in 1752.

I'm sorry I can't be more definate.

Marc
