Thank you so much for the information. Asberry was my Great Grandfather. I had learned from my father about Henry LeGrone's death at Vicksburg, but that was as far back as I knew, except for one item of information. He told me that the father, grandfather, or great grandfather of Henry had literally taken or kidnapped a woman off one of the ships coming to America to be his wife. They couldn't understand each other at first, but she became my ggg? grandmother. Have you heard anything of this story? My dad told me this story, that had been handed down through the years, many times before he died.
