Hello I am looking for some information on my great grandfather. His son was James Lafayette Shull Larson. The mother was Amanda Shull Larson Angel. Her parents was Jacob and Rebbeca Shull of Virginia and then they came to Mason County WV in the late 1800's. My grandfather stayed with his grandparents when he was 9 according to the 1900 Cenus of Union District. Then according a relative of William Sheridan Angel the Larson's followed them from the Carolina's, North Carolina. They were of Noweigan decendent. Axe people. My great grandfather worked on the Ohio River from Cairo IL to Pittsburg PA and it was said that he fell between two barges between locks 26 & 27 which was Hogsett WV and Proctorville Ohio. No body was ever recovered so there's not a record. If anyone has any information please let me know.
