Yumna Malick arrived in Providence Rhode Island 0n 9/8/1929 on the ship "Asia" from lebanon.
Yumna was born around 1873 and was 56 years old when she arrived. I think that Yumna may be the sister of my grandfather Massoud Maree (Merhi)but I am not definite. At 56 years of age I assume "Malick" is her married name. I have traced every Yumna who migrated from Lebanon to USA and her details are the closest fit.
I have no idea if Yumna was travelling alone but at 56 I hope at least with her husband and/or family.
I am hoping that Yumna has family living in US who i can contact to see if she is the person i am looking for. A copy of a deathe certificate should reveal her parents names. If she was my grandfathers sister then her parents names should be Massoud (like my grandfather) and Hunie, and her maiden name would have been Merhi (Maree).
If there are any "malick's" or related family who might be able to help me please contact me.
