My grandmother Mariam (Aslanian) Kayayan wo was originally from Yozgat, Turkey was in an orphanage in Jounieh, Lebanon at the end of World War I. We know her brothers Hagop and Setrak were either in the same orphanage or one nearby. We believe the orphanage was run by either Danes or Americans but cannot find records of the orphanage and the woman in charge was probably named Mary. Does anyone have any idea about the orphanage, perhaps know its name or the name of the organization running it?
