Seeking to prove that these females below were the daughters of Benoni LEONARD, LENARD, LENNARD, LEARNARD [b. ca 1785-1863] and Mary or Lucy BROOKINS, BROOKINGS or BROOKENS? Their death dates have not been proven, and my cousins and I are seeking death records for them.
~Harriet LEONARD CODY [Mrs. Thomas J.] b. 23 April 1816 in Oneida Co., NY, d. 28 March 1888 Verona, Grundy, IL. Children were: Mary Amelia CODY m. 1859 Andrew Jackson LEACH, Emeline Gertrude CODY m. Matthew M. DIX, and Samuel Newton CODY m. 1) Nelly UNKNOWN MAIDEN NAME,
and they had 2 children.
Harriet's sisters may have been:
~Eliza LEONARD BAKER [Mrs. Julius] d. maybe bef. 1870 as we only have 1850 & 1860 of both of them living in Aurelius, Cayuga, NY, with children
George b. ca 1833, Jerome b. ca 1836, Nelson b. ca 1840 ,and Mary b. ca 1844.
~Lucy LEONARD KENYON [Mrs. Ira Fred] d. 12 Sept. 1873 and is buried in Mexico, Oswego, NY
~Cynthia Jane LEONARD BENJAMIN [Mrs. Anson L.] d. 14 April 1883. In 1850 & 1860 censuses living in Westmoreland, Onedia, NY, and
in 1870 & 1880 censuses living in Galen, Wayne, NY.
~Mary or Maryetta LEONARD b. 24 Dec. 1810 in possibly Oneida Co., NY, m. ca 1827 Dwight Ray COOK [1807-1878] and she d. 4 Aug. 1894 in Mohawk, Herkimer, NY. Cousin A. & I have her death certificate and photos to share. [This is our family through marriage.]
