I have looked at a lot of Browns in Rowan and Iredell Counties, but have not found anything about parents of James Thomas Brown. Two different Brown families are my ancestors and I have a file on each if you would like to exchange some information.
How are you connected to this family? Where are you located? I was born and grew up in NC, but we now live in Colorado.
I also noticed that you have inquired about the Haynes family in that area. My 2nd GGrandmother was Mary Haines b. 1810 d. 1884 m.William C. Cozart. They lived in Rowan/Surry/Yadkin, Caldwell Counties in that area. Have you come across anything that resembles that family?
